Ah, Valentine’s Day.  A day to show your love and affection to the one dearest to you as well as a day to devour mass amounts of chocolate and heart-shaped deep dish pizza.  The history of this day is a bit murky but the premise is notable: show someone you love them, no matter how over the top it may seem.  It’s a day to pull out all of the stops and show that extra-special someone you care for them in a way that goes beyond the everyday “I love you”.  A friend-of-a-friend described Valentine’s Day as “training wheels to remind people to take a minute from work, bills, kids, the house, other family and stop and say ‘I love you’, even if they have to have Hallmark write it down for them.”  Or, in our case, have us cook up a heart-shaped deep dish.  Do you enjoy celebrating Valentine’s Day?  What does it mean to you?
